Masking educational exercises with captivating gamification elements to offer a comprehensive suite of subject-specific exercises that inspire curiosity and evoke a love for learning.
Building on thorough research based on client needs, I started by crafting a functional specification that detailed the essential features and set the objectives for the upcoming product design. Then, transitioning to wireframes and prototypes, the design phase advanced, leading to original solutions for developing a learning app intended to motivate and engage young students.
Following that, I focused on the user interface design, aiming to embody the essence of gaming worlds blended with a sleek, modern aesthetic. The primary goal of the UI design was to create an atmosphere that was welcoming and cheerful, yet maintained a professional appearance suitable for students aged 6-18. The backgrounds utilized soft light blue hues in a white theme and pale gray for the dark theme, all brought to life by vivid gradients that added to the overall lively and inviting feel.
Having established a robust design system based on atomic design, the front-end development process was streamlined for implementation by the back-end team. By managing both the design and front-end coding aspects, I eliminated the need for constant back-and-forth, significantly speeding up progress. Moreover, leveraging the Tailwind framework simplified future upgrades and enhancements to both the website and app.
Color palette that resonates with students from 6 and up to 18 years old and at the same time looks amazing when used in a light or dark theme.
A strong, stylized font paired with a modern sans-serif typeface works together to elevate the gamified learning experience.
Progressing through classes is boosted with motivating mid-level medals for added excitement.
Making it fun by fusing together the playfulness and educational spin of learning.
